Privacy Policy
Effective October 22, 2026
Zenith is an iPhone app for tasks, calendar and goals. It is built and run by Dylan, an independent developer in the United States ("we", "us"). This policy explains what Zenith collects, why, who else handles it, and what you can do about it. Questions go to hello@dylgoon.work.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, first and last name, time zone and app preferences. Your password goes over an encrypted connection to our authentication provider, which stores it hashed. We never store it ourselves.
- What you put in Zenith: tasks and subtasks, their times, repeat rules and reminders, goals and your progress toward them, and schedules you create or accept.
- Notification token: if you allow notifications, a push token for each device so we can send reminders.
- Crash and error reports: when the app hits an error, a report with technical details (device model, OS and app version, what went wrong). These reports identify you only by an internal account ID and are designed to leave out your task content and email.
- Server logs: our servers record each request's IP address, time and outcome. We use these for security, rate limiting and fixing problems, and keep them for a limited time.
- Emails you send us, including launch-notification requests from this website.
We don't use advertising or analytics trackers.
AI features
AI task generation and AI scheduling are optional and run only when you use them. When you do, the text you type, the task and goal details the request needs (such as titles, descriptions, times and durations), and your time zone and scheduling preferences (such as working hours) are sent to Google's Gemini API. Your name and email are not included.
Zenith uses Gemini as a paid service. Under Google's terms for paid use, Google does not use this content to improve its products; it keeps requests and responses for a limited time only to detect abuse and meet legal obligations. If you never use the AI features, none of your content is sent to Google.
How we use it
- To run Zenith: store your tasks and goals, show your calendar, send the reminders you set, and carry out AI requests you start.
- To keep it secure and working: prevent abuse, investigate errors and keep the service available.
- To reply when you contact us.
We do not sell your personal information, share it for advertising, or use your content to train our own models.
Who else handles it
We use service providers that process data for us, only to run Zenith:
- Supabase: database and sign-in.
- Cloud hosting for our servers and cache, in the United States.
- Cloudflare: hosting for this website, our domain's DNS and email forwarding, and network delivery for our servers.
- Google (Gemini API): AI features, as described above.
- Expo and Apple: push notification delivery. A reminder's text, which may include the task's title, passes through them.
- Sentry and Grafana Cloud: crash reports and service health monitoring.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect Zenith's users or the service from harm.
Where it's stored
Our servers and database are in the United States. Zenith is currently offered only in the United States.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and content until you delete them. Deleting your account removes your profile and all of your tasks, goals, schedules and reminders right away; copies may remain in encrypted backups for a short time until those are overwritten. Server logs and crash reports are kept for a limited period and then deleted.
Your choices
- Edit or delete any task, goal or schedule in the app.
- Delete your account and its data from the Profile tab.
- Turn off notifications in your iPhone's settings.
- Don't use the AI features if you don't want content sent to Google.
- Email hello@dylgoon.work for a copy of your data, a correction, or any privacy question.
Security
Data travels over encrypted connections, and access to production systems is restricted. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will tell you.
Age
Zenith is for people 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone younger; if you believe we have, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above, and for significant changes we'll tell you in the app or by email before they apply.
